Day 1: Cuenca – Transfer In – Hotel Accommodation
Arrive in Cuenca. A bilingual guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. He will be able to assist you in anything you may need. Accommodation at the Selected Hotel.

Day 2: Cuenca – City Tour – Hotel Accommodation
Breakfast and city tour of the city of Cuenca visiting the Calderon Park, new and old Cathedral The park of the Flowers, the City Museum and modern art, the Cañari-Incas of all saints ruins, Canon of the Tomebamba and Turi River. We will also visit a Panama Hat Museum and Store where you can learn the history and see different types and color of this famous hat. Free afternoon and accommodation at the Selected Hotel.

Day 3: Devil's Nose & Ingapirca Fortress – Hotel Accomodation
Breakfast. Early in the morning we will drive north to take the famous Devil's Nose Train Ride, that is a portion of the Ecuadorian railway accessible from Alausi, where we will descend the mountain in zig-zag. In the afternoon we will visit the Ingapirca Fortress in the Cañar Province, one of the most important Incan Complex in Ecuador. This fortress, located at 3,160 meters, was built between the XV and XVI centuries (before Spaniards arrival in Ecuador) and was known as an administrative and religious center of the Inca's Empire.

This complex was built over the ruins of a Cañari settlement, an important native culture of southern Ecuador, so it is also possible to find ruins of this culture. Upon arrival, we will visit the Museum, which shows an interesting display of stone, jewelry and ceramic handicrafts. Afterwards visit the ruins, which include a roofless fortification, courtyards, terraces, and the famous Temple of the Sun. Back to cuenca and accommodation at the Selected Hotel.

Day 4: Gualaceo and Chordeleg – Hotel Accommodation
Breakfast. Then we will drive towards the Valley of Gualaceo, located 36 Km from Cuenca. During the way it is possible to enjoy the drastic change of the landscape, and several photo stops will be done. Visit Gualaceo Town, specially know for its handicrafts and folklore. A main market, in which several products of the region are trade, takes place every Sunday.

Continue towards Chordeleg, a nice town located few Kilometers from Gualaceo, famous because of its silver and gold jewelry production, and the fabrication of Panama Hats. Back to Cuenca and accommodation at the Selected Hotel.

Day 5: El Cajas National Park – Hotel Accommodation
Breakfast. Then we will drive 30 Km west side of Cuenca is located El Cajas National Park. This park is well know for its 230 beautiful lakes, product most of them, of volcanic activity and glaciations, however, it also lodges a great diversity of fauna and flora. The vegetation includes small forests quinoa trees, and the forest lodges many bird species, such us hummingbirds and the gray - breasted mountain toucan. This beautiful Park is located at the Paramo ecosystem between 3,000 to 4,700 meters above the sea level.

During the journey we will enjoy a beautiful day of nature, walking around its biggest lake "Toreadora" while discovering its Flora and Fauna. Back to Cuenca and accommodation at the Selected Hotel.

Day 6: Cuenca – Transfer Out Breakfast.
Transfer to the Airport.
